Dear colleagues and friends,

Due to the current health situation in France, the organizing committee decided to postpone the EAPPC-BEAMS-MG conference from 28 February to 4 March 21.

We will therefore be pleased to welcome you to the 8th Europe-Asia Pulse Energy Conference (EAPPC), which will be organized in 2021 in conjunction with the 23rd International Conference on High Power Particle Beams (BEAMS) and the 17th International Conference on Megagauss Magnetic Field Generation and Related Topics (MG-XVII). They will be held at the Palais des Congrès Bellevue Biarritz in Biarritz, in the immediate vicinity of one of the most beautiful sandy beaches, where the waves of the Atlantic Ocean can be heard collapsing.

This important international event represents an important forum for scientists and engineers in the field of physics and pulsed power technology, where a wide range of topics will be covered such as generators and components, pulsed power applications, high power microwaves and RF sources, high energy density physics and technology, particle beam technology, production and applications of ultra-high power magnetic fields, explosive controlled pulsed power and many others. The conference will provide an updated review of the most recent achievements, as well as an opportunity to exchange scientific and technical information between industry, academic institutions and leading research organizations in a wide range of current and emerging research areas.

During the conference, several important applications and related business opportunities will be discussed, such as: the reduction of pollutants from fossil fuels, the application of pulsed plasma and electric field techniques for water treatment, food sterilization and cancer treatment, new pulsed techniques to separate water from oil, new physics and fusion technology results from major national research centres and many others.

Biarritz's specific location, near the Spanish border and in the heart of the famous Basque Country, will offer many additional activities related to the Atlantic Sea, the Pyrenees, visits to historical monuments, etc., all accompanied of course by exceptional local cuisine and wines?

We look forward to welcoming you and your family to Biarritz.
