SIMCO Transfert Tech UnitDigital simulation for sustainable construction and civil engineering

SIMCO is the technology transfer unit of the SIAME Laboratory (Sciences pour l'Ingénieur Appliquées à la Mécanique et au Génie Électrique) at the Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour (UPPA).

SIMCO specializes in advanced digital simulation, analysis and assessment of building and civil engineering structures, offering cutting-edge solutions that are often inaccessible to conventional design offices.

Thanks to our simulation tools and research-based expertise, we offer top-level technical support for complex projects.

The unit is staffed by a research engineer, under the scientific direction of two ISA-BTP lecturers: Christian La Borderie and Olivier Maurel.

SIMCO's areas of expertise are varied and cover several themes:

- Design and dimensioning of innovative structures (ETN, ATEx, ATEc)

- Analysis and justification of existing structures

- Structural diagnostics of buildings and structures subjected to severe loads

- Complex regulatory justifications

- Young concrete, durability, special structures

- Transfer in porous media
